Timeline of Presentations
Collaborative endeavors have characterized four panel presentations about the Study given at the annual Conference on College Composition and Communication.

In 2008, the SSW research team presented a panel at the 3rd International Santa Barbara Conference on Writing Research. The panel included: an overview of the study by Andrea Lunsford; a further analysis of international student writing by Erin Krampetz; preliminary findings of Paul Rogers's dissertation on development of college writing abilities; and, a case study of one SSW participant (a chemistry major who went into teaching).

In 2007, Study participant Satoko Kakihara joined the study team in their panel presentation, "Placing Identity: Lessons from a Five-Year Longitudinal Study of Writing."

In 2005, eight Study participants joined the research team on a featured panel, "Observations from the Stanford Study of Writing in its 4 th year." Student participants created a CD of this presentation which they gave away for donations, with proceeds benefiting San Francisco's Mission Literacy Center.
- In 2004, Study researchers joined with a high school student from Berkeley Prep in Jacksonville, Florida and a teacher/researcher from Laney Community College in Oakland to present "Compositions that Matter: Perspectives from Longitudinal Studies of Writing at Three Sites."
- In 2005, the SSW group Andrea Lunford, Erin Krampetz, and Jenn Fishman presented "Lessons from the Stanford Study of Writing" as a keynote address at the 2nd International Santa Barbara Conference on Writing Research. The address was entitled "Writing Research in the Making" and was held at UCSB in February of 2005.
- Andrea Lunsford, Erin Krampetz, and Jenn Fishman gave a talk called "To Act, To Do, To Perform, To Write: Reflections on the Culture of Writing at Stanford" at the Northern California Writing Center Association Conference, which took place at Stanford on March 6, 2004.
- In 2004, Amrit Rao, Anna Mumford, Erin Krampetz, Andrea Lunford, and Jenn Fishman.gave a presentation titled "Changing Media, Changing Literacies, Changing Writing" at the National Council of Teachers of English Assembly for Research Conference in Berkeley, CA.
- Our 2003 panel presentation, "Transforming Writers: Perspectives on Writing Development," included papers on how for-class writing can be improved and enriched by insights gained from dramatic and spoken word performances. You can see Mark Otuteye and Beth McGregor's presentations here.
- The research team gave the first SSW presentation at the 2002 CCCC in Chicago during the Study's first year. Presenters included Ticien Carlson, Kara Blond, Corinne Arraez, and Jenn Fishman with Andrea Lunsford as chair.
